Widely regarded at ‘the nicest man in mountain biking’ Nick has raced bikes for years at the highest level, earning mountain bike and cyclocross national championship titles, as well as winning the Three Peaks ‘cross.
Nick has raced for his country at 17 World Mountain Bike Championships and a couple of Olympics… Unlike many of his peers, he never left the sport and was always a racer and ambassador for mountain biking. He famously will happily ride any bike, anywhere with anyone because he simply ‘just likes riding bikes’.
Even after ‘retiring’, Nick continues to be seen at the front of marathon, ‘cross, 24 hour and even downhill races. He’s still a very fast rider and is still at the front at races as diverse as the Isle of Man End to End race, the Shimano Singletrack Weekender and the Three Peaks. Nick’s been racing at Mountain Mayhem for as long as anyone can remember, yet still brings an enthusiasm that even first timers would be hard pressed to match.
