To many people, Rob Warner is the voice of downhill mountain biking.
As he shouts into the microphone, willing on the riders, he’s backing it up with his years of experience on the race circuit.
Rob Warner shot to fame in the ’90s, with his loose style and raucous behaviour earning him admirers and race results. Rob’s lifestyle called to mind a mountain biking James Hunt and he was one of the last crazy riders around before the training and good-living ethic became the only way that riders could get results.
Rob was the first British rider to win a mountain bike World Cup and he was a regular fixture of the pro downhill scene for a decade. He can now be found behind the microphone, giving insightful and enthusiastic commentary for the World Cup series.
