Tim Flooks has worn nearly every hat there is to wear in the mountain bike world.
Starting back in the ‘80s Tim helped organise the earliest UK mountain bike races, he raced XC for Great Britain before there was even an official World Championships. Moving on from being a tractor mechanic, Tim worked at Caratti bike distributors and then talked his way into a job as RockShox’ first European technical support mechanic. For the next seven years, Tim, together with his wife, Helen, drove round Europe in a big technical support truck, going to all of the World Cup races, tuning forks for racers and providing tea and biscuits for bike racers, photographers and lost souls throughout the season.
Even after returning back to the UK full time, Tim didn’t slow down and established TF Tuned shock tuning company. Tim is one of the only people to have been to every single Mountain Mayhem race and is truly a character of the sport.
